YOUNG PUBLIC

SCHOOLS

Heritage and museums constitute a real teaching tool. Le Locle - Château des Monts Watchmaking Museum is pleased to be able to offer turnkey cultural mediation activities for schoolchildren.

The importance of watchmaking in the local heritage and the topic of time are in line with the study plan (Plan d'étude romand - PER) and the official means of teaching of French-speaking Switzerland (Moyens d'enseignements romands - MER).

We offer a different topic for each cycle - the documents are in French

Viel Spass ! educational activity in German for a non-German-speaking audience.

The activities include an autonomous visit of about 1 hour.

  • Entrance to the museum for schools is free of charge as well as the educational material.
  • Some activities are enriched by material provided by the museum to enable children to touch objects.
  • Enhanced by an introduction and additional material these activities allow teachers to complete an agreeable visit of the museum and to integrate it into a teaching sequence.
